One example of this philosophy in action is Shauna O'Sullivan, who has become an integral part of our journey—and that of our Queenstown branch.

Starting Out: A Remarkable Beginning

Shauna joined us a couple of years ago from the UK, stepping into the role of Recruitment Resourcer. Despite having no prior recruitment experience, Shauna quickly learned the ropes, bringing with her an eagerness to learn and a determination to excel. It didn't take long for her to exceed our expectations in this role, showing not only her aptitude for learning but also her natural talent for connecting with both candidates and clients.

From Resourcer to Consultant: Embracing New Challenges

Shauna's ability to adapt, communicate, and deliver exceptional service led her to her next step in the company: moving into a Consultant role. In this position, she began managing a few key accounts in the Queenstown region—accounts that were booming. Shauna took on this challenge with enthusiasm, building upon existing client relationships while establishing new ones of her own.

It was here that Shauna's remarkable sales skills truly shone. She quickly proved her value to the team by achieving success not only for herself but also for our Queenstown branch as a whole. Her work helped contribute to further branch growth and success, demonstrating the results that could come from her hard work and her natural talent for client management.

Taking on Leadership: Rising to the Challenge

Earlier this year, an opportunity arose for Shauna to step into an Acting Branch Manager role while we worked through a plan for our Queenstown branch. We needed someone who could lead, inspire, and navigate the branch through a time of transition, and Shauna stepped up to the challenge with confidence.

Since taking on this role, Shauna has not only grown the branch but has also successfully onboarded a new sales team member—someone without industry experience. Shauna’s guidance and mentorship were instrumental in helping her new colleague build her own desk, showcasing her ability to lead by example and support others in achieving success.

Thriving Under Pressure: A True Leader Emerges

Shauna has thrived under the pressures of her new role, proving herself to be an adaptable and driven leader. Her dedication, strategic thinking, and natural leadership skills have helped her grow the Queenstown branch even further, solidifying its position as a key player in the market.

It’s no surprise that Shauna’s success as Acting Branch Manager led to her official appointment as Queenstown Branch Manager. She has not only embraced every opportunity presented to her but has also created new opportunities for herself and for those around her.
